202 as they sit on the grid. Considering my form this season, that means you can bet this won't be the finishing order.

If they're good for a podium, I think it would be my first since Hungary last year... x(

Cheers mate, yes I was absolutely stoked after expectations were so low, having said that I was pleased to see it rain, I knew that could be a game changer in particular for Hamilton.

Round 14: Singapore

The race started in wet conditions and going into the first corner there was a collision between the front row starters Vettel and Verstappen plus Raikkonen starting from 4th, Verstappen found himself pincered between the two Ferrari's and the initial collison between Raikkonen and Verstappen spun Raikkonen's car into Vettel's car. The collision saw Raikkonen's car out of control and a second collision with Verstappen put both cars out of the race, a fast starting Alonso also got hit in the collision which would also put him out of the race.

Vettel's race didn't last much longer as he spun his damaged car into the wall putting him out of the race, this left Hamilton in the lead from Ricciardo, Hamilton then had a largely untroubled run to the flag apart from a couple of SC restarts after Kvyat and then later Ericsson crashed, Bottas came home in third from Sainz who finished in a career best 4th position.

In third place with 117 points and receiving the "Reliable Bottas Trophy"

We had 2 late tactical votes this round and I guess this highlights when it can come totally unstuck when you have a crazy race and the penalty points hit hard.

Jenson's Understeer made a superb tactical vote earlier in the season that vaulted him up the leader board, this time however it was disastrous for him as he only scored 42 points, his original picks would have scored 107 points and he's dropped markedly down the leaderboard.

Meanwhile Mayhem saw his points drop from 91 down to 69 points.

I am honestly so fed up with this championship right now that I might not see out the rest of the season. Luckily I have another two weeks to reconsider that.

And it looked so good after quali, and for about, oh, the first 100m of the race! Kind of went a bit downhill after then though...

This is what frustrates me so much about this competition (and all the rest of them, really). Your original picks were worse; they were less likely to happen, and didn't reflect the pace of the cars as well. And yet some crazy crap happened, all the fastest cars wrecked out, and they would have got you a lot more points.

Maybe I should start a competition, where you just predict which cars will be the fastest, and forget about all this result-based stuff!

This may sound spoiled, but I haven't finished a season outside the top 4 yet. I don't want to be excited about the top 10. x(

So if you don't finish the season it doesn't count? :)

I'm in the same boat as you, having races wrecked is part of the competition and like a lot of things luck can come into it.

Well the race was a lottery and that's not your fault, every time there is a crazy race I seem to get the short stick as well.

I think my result demonstrates exactly that. I mean based on where everyone qualified, my picks were worth 15-18-18-18-18-15-25-25-0-18, 170 points in total. Instead I had what must've been one of the worst results anyone has had playing this game!

Earlier than usual predictions, since I'm travelling pretty much all around this weekend and may not be able to make another entry:

2017 MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX

01 Lewis Hamilton
02 Sebastian Vettel
03 Valtteri Bottas
04 Max Verstappen
05 Daniel Ricciardo
06 Kimi Raikkonen
07 Nico Hulkenberg
08 Sergio Perez
09 Esteban Ocon
10 Carlos Sainz, Jr.

Anyone who's predicted the same thing, beware. Your picks have just been cursed.
