Round 6: Monte Carlo, Monaco

The start of the race saw pole man Hamilton lead away form fellow front row starter Bottas then Verstappen, Vettel and Ricciardo, the front four pulling away from Ricciardo at 2 seconds a lap.

The main interest at this point was the progress of Leclerc who started 15th due to poor qualifying strategy by Ferrari, he made opportune passes on Norris and Grosjean but then clipped the barrier with his right rear tyre whilst trying to pass Hulkenberg which put him into a half spin, the contacted punctured his tyre. In his haste to get back to the pits he shredded the tyre which damaged parts of his under floor throwing debris around the track which brought out the safety car on lap 11.

This triggered the leaders to pit for tyres, the two Mercedes drivers put on medium tyres whilst Verstappen and Vettel pitted for hard tyres, as Bottas was leaving the pits Verstappen was released in front of him and drove into Bottas' car puncturing one of his tyres, this caused Bottas to pit again a a lap later this time onto the hard tyres and dropping him to 4th behind Verstappen and Vettel.

Verstappen was immediately under investigation for the incident and it was decided to give him a 5 second timed penalty, meanwhile it soon became obvious that with the early pit stop Hamilton was on tyres that may well not last the race unlike the hard tyres so he immediately set about looking after the tyres to make the ned of the race with passing almost impossible pitting again would lose him the race.

Hamilton's slow pace meant with Verstappen's 5 second penalty he would finish in 4th place so he really needed to get past Hamilton, he saw an opportunity just a couple of laps from the end under heavy braking into the chicane after the tunnel straight but it wasn't really on, he locked up but still hit Hamilton's rear tyre with his front tyre which caused Hamilton to miss the chicane, no damage was done to either car.

So Hamilton won the race from Vettel and Bottas with Verstappen in 4th due to his 5 second penalty, Gasly finished 5th and also took the opportunity to pit late for fresh tyres to take the bonus point for fastest lap, best of the rest in 6th place was Sainz.

Poker, out of curiosity, what is the maximum score anyone has ever achieved here? More than 200?

We've had plenty of scores above 200, I think the highest is 232 by UnlikeUDay, he use to have it on his signature and it was set in 2012 a year before I started playing, he may read this and confirm it?

However I'm not quite sure how you would arrive at that score the number just seems to stick in my memory, obviously the max is 250 after that it would be 236 then 230 the highest you could score if my quick maths is correct?

Or it may have been a been max score with a FP2 late entry?
